Valver advice

Got a friend looking at a Valver, and I know nothing about them. Car seems solid, but on start up having been sat for a day or so he said that there is a small tapping noise, once it is walm it goes away and is fine, it only seems to happen when it has been sitting for a few days not being used.
Any idea's? I thought it could be the wrong grade oil?

IIRC My valver used to tap as well... Think they were known for having noisy tappets from cold? Even the R19 engine I had was a bit tappy but not as bad.
