Valver central locking

The remote central locking on my valver isn't working. I can put my key in and turn and it opens fine but if I press the key nothing happens. I've tried putting new batteris in the key but nothing. Is this a common failure on valvers? what's lit likely to be?

Also, the poil gauges. Is it the gauges that generally go or the wiring? Some advice would be handy

The plip key not working could be down to water leaking into the receiver unit and corroding it. I think it's quite a common problem. I'm not sure on how you would go about setting it up with another one as I'm not sure if you replaced it with one from a scrappy it would work as I would have thought the details of the key would be stored withing the receiver unit.

It could also be wiring and other things though so probably be best to wait and see what others have to say.
