VERY loud whistling!!

Hi,

I've searched on here about various different types of whistling that occurs when Clio's are moving. Such as the hole underneath the drivers wing mirror for example, but had no joy in finding out what goin on with my Clio. (so don't tink im stupid for asking!)

Now, i don't do these speeds often, so don't tell me off!

When the car (182) is in 5th doin about 95mph, there is a very loud whistle / noise that comes from behind the dash???

Im talkin quite loud here, i have to back off thinkin theres somethin wrong.

Now i've read somewhere that on non-sport Clio's there is a feature on the car where you will hear a beep of some sort warning you that you are goin over a certain speed, is this true and do you think this is it???????

I know i shouldn't really be 95mph, but when I hear it, it's quite worrying!

any help appreciated,

Martyn G

I had a similar thing with mine, when the fan is set to anything but level 1 or the air recycle button is active. Its as though the vents don't fully seal...
Could be something similar...

common fault is the windscreen seals going

if you get it resealed that will most likely solve the problem

mine does it when im heading upwards or 90mph but ive just got used to it now lol

Im doing a search to try and solve a very similiar noise I have in my car, sounds like a beeping noise, or whistling which isnt constant. I think it may be something to do with air, ive tried various settings on the vents to no avail. Anyone solved this problem?
