Clio 172
Hi, I've had the passenger driveshaft replaced on my car recently, but i've currently got a really bad vibration when accelerating anything above 40 mph. I've stopped driving it as it's gotten too bad. Renault looked at the car free of charge and i only took it to them because they were local and free. They told me that because my car was lowered(40 mm apex) this means the steering arms(i think) are in the wrong position and are causing this problem? They said if i put the original springs back on that would fix the problem and the vibration. The cost of their work was £362 for swapping the springs round with the standard ones which i have to put back on and for four wheel allignment. I obviously didn't take them up on their offer. Just wondered would this cause this problem or could it be the drivers side driveshaft? Sorry for the essay. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Forgot to say i've had the wheels re balanced but they were fine in the first place.
