Vista laptop help please !

I am trying to add a network printer to my gfs new laptop, not used to vista and i am not doing very well to be honest.

The printer works fine and is used on her mums latop which i also set up for her but thats running xp so it was not to bad.

Trying to add it on this vista lark is a fooking nightmare.

When searching for a network printer it does not find it at all, and i have checked on the server pc ( where the wireless comes from ) and checked to see if the printer is shared, which it is.

Didnt expect that to be the problem but thought i would check anyway, but as i said her mums laptop works fine with the set up.

So i am totally lost lol.

I have had a search on the net and have not been able to find anything that will solve my problem.

Is anyone able to help please ?

Step by step of what to do would be very much appreciated.

  1 Series Coupe
Start > Network

You should then see the machine that the printer is connected to.

Go into that machine, and the printer should be in there... Double click the printer, and it will install it for you.

um its a printer which is pluged into the main server pc, the servers brodband cannection is then shared via a wireless router.

So i think its a shared local printer ?
