VPN help, using my PS4 to play SkyGo in Germany.

I've never used a VPN before, my understanding is, I can subscibe to one, then connect my PS4 to it, thinking it's in the UK so i can watch My SkyGo, iPlayer etc?
If this is the case, anyone got any pointers for a good VPN?

They work for my PC, but how would that get my PS4 connected to it?
