w800i file manager. wont find files ?

just t.ferd over some 3gp files to the memory card, but when i try to find them using the filemanager on the phone i carnt find them? i can see them if i hook my phone up to my laptop.

any ideas what ive done wrong ??

Have you got the data cable still attached while you look for them?

I had this trouble when using the disc2phone software and also whan using that i lost all my videos and photos, had to take the phone back and get a new one.

Best thing to use mate is a dongle

nope, ive removed the cable and still carnt see them. even re-booted the phone.

some of the others (smaller) ive tried seem ok. file name length ?

ahh, sorted it. it seems it needs to be in specific file locations on the memory card

How have you trasnferred the files? Drag and drop in explorer or disc2phone?

it was drag and drop through sony file manager . None of the nokias ive had were this picky on file locations. lol. Oh well

I've had this aswell, although I found that I was actually transferring the music onto my pen drive which was plugged in at the same time, lol.

Althought I've still had troubles with the transfer of files to my phone and also managed to corrupt picture files after moving my memory card from my K750i to my W800i. Anyone any ideas?
