Want a sub, don't want the weight!

  E90 320d M Sport
Hi there,

I have a 12" JBL active sub in the back of my Saxo, in a box and it weighs a ton. I dropped it in the boot of my 172 and it made the rear look lowered :(

Can anybody spec me a light sub? I don't want to be adding much weight to this car.

I do listen to bassy music so I can't see amping my front 6.5" pioneers making much difference tbh.

You could amp a set of good quality 6x9s? Less weight, good bit of bass to be had aswell.

I used to have 6x9's amped up in the Saxo and mounting them on the parcel shelf means poor bass.

The reason why this time, I intend on going straight for the sub!

Slimline sub.

Otherwise put up with it.

Decent sound system + speed don't really go together.

Pioneer UD-SW125S is the Pioneer one built specifically for that sub, or a custom jobby with the same volume would do the trick.

  Polo + Micra
i've got a spare sub box if you want

it's one of those ones that fit into the side of the boot like that would be ideal for a slim sub
