Warning Light

  RS Clio 172 Ph1
Just now while driving around the block trying to find a parking space my warning light for Monitoring Exhaust Gas has decided to continously illuminate, what does this normally mean? Anyone have experience/advice on it.

mine done it when the cat went..best to get it checked out

You may have a point there, the exhaust seems a little too loud in my opinion. I've only had the car for a few weeks so I don't really know how loud it supposed to be, I can't see anything blowing externally so perhaps it may be corroded on the inside. Are there any tell-tale signs that it may be the cat? Was it expensive to repair/replace?

If the zorst is standard, it is likely to be on the way out, standard ones are s**t and dont last very long.
