Warranty issue......

Hey ppl, My poxy stealer is trying to pull the wool over my eyes, my engine mounts are shot and need replacing ( common RS fault apparently ) they are saying that its not covered under warranty, which i personally think is Jade goody ( Boll*cks) after owning the car 8 months it has done nowt but make me smile, but the dealer aftersales care is the worst i have encountered.

If anyone has any knowledge in the warranty department, would be very much appreciated.

how old is the car? Warranty is 3 years, and these could be considered wear and tear, but its defo a known problem so shouldnt be put down to wear and tear.

I would say, if your car is still under warranty and this is a known RS problem, contact Renualt UK and see if they will agree to them being replaced under warranty. If they do, the dealer will have no choice but to do it for you. Good luck.

I had mine looked at today, booking it in to be done under warrenty next month some time when i have the aux belt done, apparently they take the suspension off, and grind 3mm off the plate to stop it rubbing, then spray it to stop it corroding and put it back on 2-3 hour job, my service place said they'd do it without even asking questions, mine is a 182 registered jun 04

I have had a simular problem with reg vardy in Sheffield, needed something doing to it but they said it wasnt under warranty, I wasnt happy, they are all nicey nice when you are spending 9k on a brand new car but they dont wanna know when it goes wrong, so I rang Renault and they put me through to Dixons in Barnsley and they got me booked in with in 3 days and it's all fixed, and yes it was under warranty, So dont take their word for it mate, go somewhere else!!
