warrenty on imports

my parents have just ordered a scienic from a car supermarket they have been told they get a 2 year warrenty but i seen to recall people getting a 3 year one by phoning renault, can anyone tell me how to do it

Mine was an import but Renault honoured the standard 3 year warranty they would give on any new car.

When I had a problem I just took it to the local dealer and they had no questions.

yep all you need to do is send a letter to renault with the following info included

1. copy of original invoice

2. copy of reg doc

3. copy of inside of service book

4. copy of utility bill showing uk address
