Morning all,

My girlfriend wants to sell jewelry online! We found a commerce solution via Paypal; they handle to cart, stock etc. So all good.

Need a basic site to sell from, OR some hosting space.

Anybody know of a good hosting company that isnt very expensive/free?

Want to keep costs as low as possible right now as this is just a bit of a test to see if the sales go well, if they do we will invest more into it.

Heard 1&1 is good? Dont know much about them...

If you've got a crap load of money and time to throw at advertising, go right ahead with the above.

If you're a mortal like the rest of us - set up an eBay store and link that in with a website to start with. eBay effectively does your marketing for you.

This is true, marketing is the hardest part to any website. its easy to get a website up and running, but its getting the people on it.

you could have an ebay shop and try and push the company name there. You can have links out to your shop if you are sneaky.

I personally hate eBay for selling, it seems to turn most buyers into absolute toss pots, and the fees are a rip off esp including paypal!
