Weird Knocking Noise

Just came back from a spin and heard a knocking noise from the front left wheel of my 172 when I floor it in first (7000Rmp) with the wheels spinning!!! Could Ive killed my CV/ bearings?

check ya cv joint, check for leaking grease.

and then bearings

Bring it in mate, or gimmie a call to meet you so you can show me.
Its usually the viration damper on the shaft.

the MK2 has 2 becase the 1 on the MK1 want enough.

Do a search for knocking under acceleration. Mine did this, and then they replaced the engine mounts apparently - but it still does it in extreme circumstances...

Ben, Ill show you this Sunday at the Club meet, by the way, what do you want to do on the day? Where and when do you wanna meet? I ask this because it could be raining and not many people will show if we dont have a place to go to, maybe somewhere for drinks?

in side out bar where the old porsche showroom was is a great place, and i know the owner & manager there so there real nice.

its near the renault showroom where there is a carpark too. i could try and get a V6 to be there too....ill try hard!
