what do they check on an mot

i know iv got to remove decat but i can i get failed for led sidelights?

and what else is checked please!!!

if u have a decat take it off and put ur cat back on as otherwise it will likely fail its emission tests

yea sometimes u do.

if ur car was made before 93 u are allowed a decat anyhow (dont quote me on that)

its just about emissions and generallly a decat will increase them (i belive)

yeh my cars a 96 but i think its jus safer for me to put the cat back on then the next day put the decat back on!!!

What do valvers normally fail on as mines in next month?! (Bearing in mind mines a 1995)

Theres nothing obviously wrong with my car. I.E CV boots

Is there any play in the steering ? if so weld up the column !!

Do all your lights/bulbs work ? Brake pads, discs, strut top bearings, !!

all in the haynes

Is the steering sharp, ie do the wheels move as soon as you turn the wheel ? if the rubber bush in the column is worn the steering wheel sometimes moves a little before the wheels do !!
