what is the tube link thing int interior lights that vibrates?

in my 172 there is a constant vibrating nois when the ignition is on. traced it to be coming from a tube shape thing that fits in the casing of the interior light.

anyone know what it is and how I can stop the fucker from making this vibrating noise!!!!?

Sounds like the air sampling fan for the climate control.

They are prone to getting noisy as the dust and dirt builds up on the fan blades and causes them to run out of true and vibrate.

Cleaning it with a small paint brush and/or an airline can sometimes fix it.

Theyre only about a tenner from Renault. Replace it if cleaning it doesnt help.

Someone did a guide on here a while ago of how to clean/change.

Mines bugging me at moment, only on tickover mind....
