what mpg is everyone getting?

well im almost certain to be getting a 172, just the last thing i wanted to check before i make the dive! i travel 90 miles a day to work, in my vtr it costs around a tenner, i get around 35-40 mpg, just wondered what people get in their 172's driving reasonably sensibly!cheers

There should be loads of threads on this for you to read! You can get around 35mpg but I couldnt drive mine like that all the time! Was avg about 25mpg

well mines getting round 120 miles to 20 quid atm, so thats 60 miles to £10 so according to the mpg calculators on the net that works out at around 32mpg

I use mine mainly for short journeys to work and back in the week, 6 miles each day. And on the last tank I averaged 31mpg.

I think 35mpg would be easy on a decent drive, if not higher, provided you arent thrashing the tits off it.
But, a 2.0 petrol hot hatch shouldn't be your car of choice with that mileage in my opinion!
