when you change the oil your meant to change the sump plug arent you? I know some people dont, their only like 50p lol

don't forget the inspection service - there'll be quite a bit to check over; stuff like the suspension and brakes.

a Haynes manual would help

No offence, but you've got a lot to learn by the sounds of things. The things they've listed are pretty basic.

Little tip, give the oil filter a little turn anti clock wise (not a massive turn, just a bit of a turn) when the engines cold, it'll be a lot easier to get off when you drain the oil (when the cars hot)

i do have a lot to learn.... i know that...if i was into cars at college i woulda done a different course lol...
i can do what i think is basic stuff (exhaust, airbox, brakes, radiator and all the pipes with it, spark plugs, radio/speaker re-wiring, changing body pannels, lights and re-wiring) im sure i could do more...but its engine internals that get me...yeah i could probably work out how to take the whole engine appart and try put it together again....but wheather i could or not i dunno...

you dont need a new sump plug, just a new washer.
the oil will run out better if you warm the car a little first, but not too much
as it can burn you!

i usually take my car a hard blast to get it up to full oil temperature so it runs out properly, but watch your hands!! i also wear latex gloves to keep my hands clean lol.

im the worlds best at droping the sump plug into the oil im draining haha
