Iv been looking for another nice mint 172 cup for a few weeks now and cant seem to find anything for around £4000 but have found this but milege is alil bit more than what i wanted but is that an issue just trying to make up my mind i noticed the bumper has been resprayed to.

Looks ok to me. The bumper has been replaced, but the grill hasnt (new ones also miss the service stickers). Go and have a butchers? Mileage is fine. Check the usual cambelt etc. Make sure there is no dephaser rattle when warm either (sounds like a diesel) If there is its a cambelt off job. Again that wouldnt put me off, just something more to barter with

Bumper might just have been painted, I had to get mine done after I let the missus scrape it along a high kerb. They never put the sticker back on mine.

i'd not be put off by the mileage; it's 8 years old

providing it's not been abused and has been looked after, shouldn't be any more of a risk than any other imo

Mine is on a 53 plate and has just hit 37500. Looks like a decent wee car, would need to look it over though.

yea bro rang it up hes a trader said he didnt even know bumper was sprayed if it has its a good job said last service was 44k said cambelts been done with recipet said theres no dings or dents around the car said interior is mint aswell as outside said front tyres good but rears not about 2-3mm on. Iv got £4000 to spend so i could use left otha money to sort it out make it a minter. what does everyone think worth a look

looks like a good buy to me probably a bit of haggling to be had

my 182 has done 83k (25-30k a year i'm doing) and it runs like a dream so dont let the mileage put you off if it has been looked after

He said £3300 wud be lowest he would take but ir econ could haggling abit more so you recon worth a look bro just spoke to him again and book stamped up and says combelt was done at so and so but hasnt a recipet for this hmmm you think worth getting aa doin 1 of there checks.

For £3300 and if its a good sound car, I don't think you can go wrong. As long as all the brakes have plenty of meat left in them and it drives solid, for the sake of £250 i'd get a new cambelt kit fitted yourself.

At least you know its been done and done properly.

£3550 it will owe you in total and I think thats a cheap car if it doesn't need anymore spending on it.

Well i would prob get a new cambelt kit done service it new tyres all round as he said rear lils low but mates dad owns tyre place. needs tax as it a trader would get wheels powder coated and maybe a full new set of engine mounts and if brakes need doin then do them aswell

yea i done HPI check its all fine rang them 2 and they said yep its all good so yea think i might be getting it they have owned it since 2004 and its his wifes car so cant be bad.
