on a more serious note. Probably a chip would be good, or if your wanting to spend a little more look for some good cams fer her

if you are after an itg , do a search as i organised a group buy recently and they were about £44 posted.

from John at Merlin Motorsport who are based at castle coombe.

HP alone gives very little top end gains its more mid range its still not much even more so on a stock engine.
Deat gives the engine a bit more power removes some of the restriction in the ehxyat as the 172 cat is quite restrictive.

i'm de cating my standard system tomorrow :)

Have fun with that top bolt.

third time of doing it!!!
me and steve (SBV116) could now do them blindfolded. Is a b*****d though!!!!

as for any better, well ive had one before with a magnex and a prospeed and imo they make it rev more freely

i'll report back with how it feels on the standard sysem ;)

I'm pretty sure people who have changed either the air filter element or even fitted a closed induction kit, have said it makes little or no difference to performance on a 172. The only real change is to the induction noise.
