What would you do

Cars gone in to be fixed and hes going to let me know how much its going to cost tomorrow. Now if its over £1k Im wondering whether I should bother, and just get another valver instead for a similar figure to what I paid (£1400)

Thing that would hold me back is mechanically nothing is damaged and the independent renault specialists that did the clutch cable for me after I bought it said it was one of the tightest and mintest ones theyd seen (mechanically) for one thats done 110k. On top of that theyve fitted a new column, Ive had a new alarm, heatshield, alternator, tracking, Magnex, fixed the s/r, fixed loads of other niggles.

In the 20k before I got it its had a re-con head (after the cambelt snapped) a new clutch, new bearings, new gearbox.

Although I could recoup some beans by selling it for breaking or fixing (maybe £500-700) I have that doubt in my mind that any other one that I get could have other stuff waiting to go wrong.

So what would you do? Stick with the one you can gurantee is mechanically sound and fork out for the crash damage, or fvck it and get a new one?

Hmm big decision hard to say either way Im sorry mate, although getting a new Valver would be fun for while, and if you bought another at least youll have plenty of spares.

Kind of feel like Id be betraying the old girl though after giving her a new lease of life. She introduced me to fast cars and the wonders of 180 spins!
