Ok so your relistic dream car has come along. Whats the max you would pay for insurance.

For me to insure a 3 door cossie its £3400, and i would pay that as its the car i have wanted for many many years.

Just wondered whats the max others would pay.

Wouldn't pay any more though, unless I brought a super car after winning the lotto.

My dream cars probably never going to be made. However I think about £4k would be my limit.
However I'd never pay that as I have a way round it and the maximum I'd ever need to pay is £2k.

I wouldn't pay more than 1k. I'd always wanted a saphire cossie - so i just waited till i could insure it and then went out and bought one. If your still thinking of doing it then my advice is DO IT - YESTERDAY !!!
Thay are the best cars ever produced. I had to buy a house and therefore buy a cheap to run clio !!! Still thinking of selling the clio and getting another cossie !!!

I have been quoted 1300 on a Scooby P1 (i could prob get it cheaper though) i'm thinking of doing it.
when I was was 21 with no ncd or anything my valver was 1200 to insure, so its quite a big difference 4 years can make.
all quotes full comp on like for like policies.

My dads mate pays around £4k on his exige. But that includes his trackdays which he does as often as he can. i know its not standard though not sure what hes done though as he had an elise before but got rid for the exige.

Now looking at getting rid again was looking at a few different TVR's last time i spoke to him.

Which is now just his fun / track car. absolutely stunning car though yellow with black wheels. perfect imo.

Insurance is a joke though. Even a group 3 car costs over £1k for me due to where i live amount of mileage etc etc.

about £1k would be the most i'd pay. My girlf pays somewhere around £1500 a year for her 206cc, i couldn't justify that kinda money for insurance on any car that i could afford to buy

i paid £1200 when I first had my 172, would never go over £1400 though I would say, its stupid money, i was paying £135 a month to insure the 172. Crazy money when you look back on it, i've got 7yrs ncb now though

£3.5k is a lot for insurance, but hopefully it will be donw alot by then. As i said, the 3 door is my dream car wanted one since well ever. I even have a bank account that i started to put money in for one. (sad i know) lol
