Where can i get one of these???

Im after one these 3rd brake lights for my car, Need a new light for the MOT. Anyone know where i can get one?

Its the brake light i need. I phoned renault in my area and tehy said they would have to order it and it could take up to 3 week. I think it would probaly be a red one aswell.

Yes renault will sell you a third brake light no problem, if they recon it'll take weeks to come in then its a shite dealers and go to another one. They aren't a grand ammount of cash iirc.

Really? My renault dealer must have been foobing me off. What colour did you order? The black type or the normal standard red colour?

I had this problem recently...
Apparantly if it is on the car and it doesn't work then it will fail.

However... If it isn't on the car then it doesn't have to work.

I just took my light out and covered the gap with duct tape, passed it's MOT with no advisories.

Then the new spoiler and brake light arrived the day after

Yes obviously i can get one from renault, but if you had read all the posts you will have seen that i was told by them it may take upto 3 weeks for delivery. Hence why i posted the thread.

its not compulsary for mot anymore

its been changed recently, it used to be if its fitted it needs to work, however now they are saying that the tester cannot remove things etc to see if theres actually a bulb fitment inside... for all you know it could be a decorative lense!
so you cant fail it.
