front or back window?

back window should just be in with a rubber and no sealent so just go to renault n get a new rubber n change it.

if its the front screen, spray water down there from hosepipe and see if its leaking at all, if not, just bond it down with some sikaflex or something

front. . .other side is starting to peel. . . if its leaking shall i get the whole thing done? thanks :)

if its leaking itll need the window taking out and rebonding, you could put in a new rubber while it was out

but if it aint leaking i really wouldnt bother replacing it, just bond it down

tbh i dunno the price for screens,

but a small rear window.. time x materials = nowhere near £75, you wouldnt even use 1/4 of a tube of bonding adhesive

get a hosepipe on it anyway, see if it leaks, if not, glue it down

myself ide bond it down with some sikaflex

clean everything up and dry out the window, put a bit on the underside of the rubber along where it slides in, push it back in, wrap some masking tape from your window onto your door or window onto roof to hold it down into place while it dries

shouldv took another pics thinking about it now, cz the part were it slides in is abit loose..e.g. il stick it in and itl pop out after a while, so iv been considering getting a whole new thing, did the d.i.y method on the other side and its worked but its not as bad as that ^^^ and matt_trev is yours as bad as mine?

hey mate this happend to me i rung lots of window experts cus i was so worried each one said they would be mugging me off if they came out to me

each one recomended i buy the strongest super glue i could , glue it , and mask it down untill dry,

aparantley the seal on the renault clio is between the window and the car the rubber seal is too make the car look pretty

to replace the window and do a new rubber i got quoted 100 pounds as the guy said it would be hard to get the windscreen out in one piece due to it being bonded to the car

he said take a hosepipe to it , as the previous member here also said, hose it hard if water comes in then the seal is also damaged and needs replacing ie around 100 pounds

if no water cums its a waste of time calling out anyone as the seal is fine and its only cosmetic which as said before can be fixed by super glue i did this with mine very carefuly as you dont wanna get it on your paint or on the window

use a thin strip on one side rubber at top then rub glue in a little so when you push top layer rubber on to it , it dosent squish everywhere, i then maked down and left for at least an hour and it was fine and looks ok

it has also survived 2 jet washes and waxes :)

serious;ly mate i know it looks bad and is worrying but calling a window guy out is gonna cost you and if no water is coming in it really only is cosmetic :)

and mine looks as bad as your one there my other side wasd also coming off like yours

thanks buddy hope you get it dun ok :)

If you have fully comp insurance you could always accidently throw a brick at da window! Only 50/60 da get a whole new window fitted?

Yep as said thats not the window seal, its just to hide the bond. Just stick is down, unless its leaking (which it shouldn't be).
