Hi All. Ive decided to change my 96 clio to something more modern. I want to stick below £5000, and something cheap to run/ insure. I REALLY want a 172 clio, but im not paying £2350 for insurance!

Ive looked at the 1.2 16v Mk2 clio, and i do like it. So for those of you that own one of these, whats the pros and conns? which is the best phase? Other cars ive considered include the corsa SXI, new shape fiesta.

Has anyone got other recommendations i could consider? Whats the script on the corsa? Anyone owned one? My g/f has the old corsa, which i feel is not very well built. Has the build quality improved?

corsas arent that good, have a look at mk4 golfs, they may be creeping into that price range, fiestas are always good, just lacking power, mid range clio wouldnt be too bad, but they are no 172
