Which model should I choose?

I need some help. I'm very familiar with the RS Megane range- I've got a DCi Lux with cup suspension. My knowledfge of the Clio range is nil however.

I'm looking to buy a 172, 182 or Trophy, but dont really know which is the best. My preference is for really good handling over outright power.

What model and year of build is best? What faults should I check for?

Any advice greatly appreciated.

I sold it! If you are thinking of buying, you need to know that at the mo, cars are hard to sell at the price owners believe they are worth. I got one with a really rare spec, and so it sold really easily. The spec was: Lux pack, cup suspension, xenons, spare wheel and recaros- all in a silver 3 door. I was a fastidious owner- I only allowed someone in the back on one ocassion, and I snow foamed it when I gave her a wash. She was mint, literally mint, inside and out. No scuffs, dents, nothing. FRSH of course, and 31,000 miles from new. I was the second owner, the first was RUK. Got £10,500 for her, which was a little less than I thought she was worth, but when youve got a buyer standing in front of you with the readies (he took 60 seconds to buy it- didnt even want to look under the bonet or drive it)- its hard to say no. The condition, spec, and my OCD nature regarding keeping it clean and spotless helped. I even had the original brochure, which I think the guy liked about me

If you are looking at a DCi and need any advice, let me know and I'll help you if I can.

I've got 15 litres of Elf Solaris (the correct oil, that wont cause problems with the DPF) and a tuning box which is adjustable for bhp and torque if you get one.

You should get a '04 182, in black-gold, £4495 and very loved.

id get a 2005 182 in black/gold with both cup packs climate control, cruise control! stick some H&R coilovers on it along with strutbraces.....hang on this sounds like my car lol. Later ones seem to be more reliable. All depends if u want goodies or not!

yea well im after a dci just down to pure motoway miles etc now and the clio is touching 90k !
