I always think the black light surrounds (xenons etc) finish the front end and makes the car look alot more aggresive.

i agree mate, just need to get my head round the legalities regarding HIDs, cuz some say one thing, some say another

Cheers, thats the thing with albi, some light it looks racing blue (like these pics), some it looks purple, some it actually looks albi, pics would've been better if it was clean, but i thought i'd be different!!!

Just realised i've missed a couple out, d'oh!!

How is the beading with the wax I put on it? From memory it needs two layers to be at its best.

You should defo upgrade the light clusters too - looks so much better than standard. In fact, they should have been standard tbh. You see loads of lesser models with them on!

I just seen Emz, i'll see wot the funds look like in the up and coming months for anything else to be done,

The wax is beading nicely, i can tell the difference compared to the stuff i use!!

I never opted for the xenons, due to a few reasons a) hadnt seen a 197 with xenons due to then being rare, so b) didnt know they make such a difference to the look of it

Yeah i know, oh well, we choose wot we want, its only a cosmetic thing, but like said, more likely will change them for at least the cornering lights

Xenons are the bomb, a car feels more classy with xenons (imo)

I think all HIDs are illegal but you wouldn't get any trouble with them

If i can understand the law correctly. If u have the xenon headlights (darker lenses) fitted as a factory spec option then they have to have the washer jet fitted, BUT if they are fitted aftermarket the washer jet is not needed.

I do know that if u have HID xenons to be legal u have to have the darker cornering lights due to the accuracy of them.

Which is true if they are factory fitted Xenon's, but not a legal requirement on after-market HID's.

Russ - don't be a poof. Buy the Cornering Headlight and a HID kit and you'll be fine!! The main issue is the dispersion of the light from the beam, so using them in your current headlights would be illegal. Technically.
