Whistling above 5.5k

Hi, Should a 172 Start to almost whistle above 5.5k? I've heard about the 5.5k "kick", But is this accompanied by a sort of change of sound?

Both my 1*2's whistle from about 6k. I normally use it as an indication to change up when i've heard it for a second or so lol.
