Why does my service/airbag light come on sporadically?

As above. For the past 2 months, my airbag and service lights will stay lit after I have started the car and every other light has gone out. This can sometimes be cured by turning off the ignition and turning it on again, I even did it on the motorway last week whilst moving LOL.

It only happens every 3 weeks or so, but why? Do I need to Vas' up for a trip to Renault and a go on CLIP?

do a search mate. it's the fooking wires under the front seats; the connectors are crap. My passenger side connectors need replacing. I've replaced all the drivers' side connectors and the lights only come on every now and then if the passenger seat is moved for access to the rear seats.

It's not rocket science to renew them, but it's awkward as fook. Oh and renault will sting you on the labour

depends if the lights are on at the time

seriously, you can cut the connector blocks off and then solder the wires directly to one another, or use good quality connector blocks. if its under warranty then take it back and they;ll have to sort it. altho renault themselves told me that they just solder the wires together.

check your connections under the seats, cut and use bullets if you need to.
