Whys there no sound from my Headunit

Any ideas Ladies and Gents?

Changed to my old headunit as mine got nicked and plugged it in - no sound!

All displays work and its the same connectors im pretty sure as it just clipped in.

Its a Sony MD one.

Any response would be appreciated as im music-less!

I was going to suggest something, but I better not now.

You got lucky mate.

They only left me my sh*te 6by9s.

They did two locks and handles, one clifford alarm. Knicked my £650 head unit, amps, subs, playstation, tools, cds...

And I had to pay for all the damage myself. As I didnt want to lose my 7 years no claims!

Blink172 - Yeah the old one was Sony but much newer.

NickyB - b*****d aint it! Bout £600 of stuff stolen. Cant really claim either as i would never get insured again at the tender age of 19 on a 16v if i lost my NCB!

Calm down!!!! It did happen to me just before christmas, i had the h/u ripped out while the alarm was going off!! But theres no point getting arsey about it now.

is there a feature to turn of the internal amp??

if so, turn the internal amp back on

if its sony, its probably the internal curcuitry thats gone pop, if theres a reset button for the microprocessor on the front of the unit press that and see if it solves ur problem...if it dont ummmmmm....

When the ripped it out did the damage any if the cables behind the hu, cus knowing them they prolly just pulled real had untill soemthing gave way

Shorting out the speaker cable will cause the internal amp to shutdown so it doesnt kill itself.
