wierd starting problems

now i know its something to do with the immobiliser as the light flashes crazy and it wont even turn over when i turn the key. my key is broke now the button that was soldered on as come off so i no the central locking isnt working. for some reason my car will only start if as i turn the key i place my finger over wher the button use to be.

ive been told by a garage 2 new ecu's and a new key will fix the problem but this will b costly, anyone know what else it could be before i try this

if it works when you fiddle with the key, then it seems to me that all you need is a new key. which is arounf £160 ish from renault. including programming.
