I turned standby off but when its on standby the light is still orange as its connected still?

Random, if its off but im using the console am i still connected?

Also regarding points, who has bought them. Might just buy via the shop on my Credit Card?

Yep, I just leave it on standby overnight:

Green = Console On
Orange = Standby with WiiConnect
Red = Off

You can choose to have WiiConnect on or off in the settings menu. When in orange mode the disc tray will glow blue if you get an email.

I bought 5000 points using my card, got 2000 left now, it's very straightforward and quick to use, and VC downloads are very rapid.

Not sure about leaving it on at the moment, the router is coming off an extenstion so that needs to be left on as well... will leave it for now.

I bought 1000 points and got Mario 64 with it. I like the Internet channel, browsing its easy... download status bar with old skool mario is cool too.

Wonder what is coming out soon, hope goldeneye or Perfect dark. Might get Donkey Kong Country at some point too.

I was also reading that registering at www.nintendovip.com with your games/wii console gets your stars which in the near future you can use to get wii points with. I have so far registered 2 Gamecube games, 2 Wii Games, 1 Gamecube console and the Wii console. Got 2000 stars so far...
