Golf 7.5R & Clio 200
Hi,
I've been looking into getting in an RS for a while. I've managed to secure myself a little extra cash, so have a budget of up to and including £8000.00 plus my ST which I think I'll get between £2000 and £2500. (Toomey Renault gave me a P/X figure of £2400).
Question is, what to get?
I think I may be a little shy on money for a 200 - Even though I'd absolutely love one. Do you think it's possible?
As of yet I've only driven 197's. I've so far test driven 2. One I liked, one I didn't.
The one I did like was silver, so I literally drove that just to get some experience in it. But it drove rather nice, they're slower than I thought they would be though?
One I didn't like was White, again not a colour I would consider but it was just an abomination. After market lights all round, loads of moisture and a damp smell. Also crunched into 3rd and 5th. Yuck.
So ultimately, should I accept I'll end up in a 197? Or could it be worth holding out for a 200?
(Renault told me I'm around £1500 short of a 200 from them, but I assume they'd charge a premium anyway)
Before it's bought up insurance/petrol costs aren't an issue. I'm also in no massive rush, but would like to be in one this year.
Thanks
Ry
