Wire Less Speakers

Is there such a thing as speakers without any wires coming from them ie infa red etc?

I was thinking of getting some better rear shelf speakers but just want speaker pods without any wires trailing from them.

Given that I know absolutely zero about ICE your quite welcome to say if my idea is totally daft, I wont be offended I just want to learn a little.

yes there are some speakers, although i cant actually rember who they are made by, that are wireless. They use pulse tones rather than infra red signal but unfortunately ive never heard or seen any so i cant really say what theyre like...never mind.

Yeah, ive got wireless pc keyboard mouse, wireless 5.1 speakers and wireless door alarm - love it
I hate wires

we were going to have a wireless network in our uni house but still a bit to expensive, but quality idea could have supplied internet connection to anyone wothin 200 metres and the right card in there PC or Laptop.

Yeah, i considered wireless 802.11b net connections but the expense wasnt worth it - only me in my flat - lol. Would have meant i could have used the laptop anywhere
