Would this be an MOT fail?

The brake light in my spoiler won't work and after trying near enough everything I can't really (be arsed) diagnosing the problem and fixing it.

Would I pass an MOT with it not functioning, bearing in mind a lot of cars don't even have them?

Perhaps a stupid question I know, just wondering whether I should risk it.

Cheers,
Jamie

I think its alright aslong as theres no white light, and the brake light isnt lighting up when not braking. its the clusters they worry about, as a spoiler light is an additional light not a compulserary requirement.

Not 100% on that though.

Cheers for the replies - removing it would be a good idea actually haha. Would I get told off if I left the wires in it though?

id take it off or get it fixed...

dont want to have to take your car down for a re-test..and have to pay a fee, or just have the general nusance of not having your car for another day...

even borrow one off a mates car for the day? i done that once..

Don't really have the money to get it looked at atm, or buy a new light. I might just take the brake light off and the wiring out if I can, say it got robbed or broken haha.
