Wrap the Clilol.

  182 Turbo Project
The paintwork is in need of some attention on the old bus, but I keep thinking about a wrap for the car instead. Anybody know the pros/cons of the wraps? Maintenance etc?

Pro's:
Easy to maintain
Looks good (if done well)
Most places offer a good warranty
Cheaper than a respray
Protects the paintwork below

Con's:
Only lasts for 3 -5 years
Get stopped by the police every now and again
Colour can fade if using imperior products

There's a mod shop near me called "Stockport Car Audio", they do much more than sound systems though. One of the lads that works there has an A3 with a full carbon vinyl wrap. It looks bloody amazing! Whilst getting my windows tinted I was asking him about it, he said it took around 3 days and cost about £300. Cannot stress how good it looks!

I've been getting quotes of around £1500! £300 is a bargain! What's that company called?

offtopic, but this thread has made me want a badge like this;

£300 in carbon wrap, he is talking nonsense. the material to do it (if its the 3m stuff) costs probably twice that.
£1500 is a lot, for a boggo colour like white etc (cheapest btw) probably looking around £8000-£1000

£300 seems about right for the materials at trade price....
