x-lite Muc Off Bike cleaner

I used pro-clean on one of my old cars, and it dulled the paint, I don't know how similar the products are though.

Was only going to use it on the sills, as they are always a right pain to clean.

I have a wheel cleaner brush from halfords . Its a bit like the green scourers your get for pans but nowhere near as abrasive , its grey with a blue handle . Try one of them , that'll get it off . A good soaking should help soften the cow s**t if its dried on .

Forget the above , lol . Didn't know it was on your sills , im thought it was your wheels . Try a strong hot mix of shampoo to soften it .

Bump,

I was also thinking of using this, but on really stubborn wheels from time to time.

Would it do any harm ?

I' read its alkali based if that means anything

Alkali is opposite of acid.
I'd rather stick my hand acid than alkali. But then again no ones going to really notice the sills on my car looking dull.

possibly, though autoglym cleans wheels is acidic, and acid free wheel cleaner is alkaline. i was told acidic stuff is better for heavily caked on crap/brake dust and alkalie stuff is if they are mostly clean anyway etc

very harsh on anodised aluminium surfaces in the past, destroyed mountain bike bling bits. They've tamed the formula down a bit since then, I use it on my wheels watered down a bit

Acids and alkalines are both bad the further you move away from being Ph neutral, so a strong alkali and acid will both be bad. Point is don't use strong alkalines or acids on your car if you don't want to damage the paint!

Ok so its a case of a no no on car.

Stick with using it on bike.

What will it actually do if i used it on my wheels ?

Will it Strip the wax off i have on them ?

Then dull the finish ?
