The crossovers are intergral to the tweeters themselves. They are small capacitors on the back of them. They stop the low frequencies from getting to your tweeters.
ive never played around with the tweaters...does the wire go to the tweaters then extended onto the front speakers. because im sure there aint 6 speaker wires coming from my head unit. id really like to know this, cos the sooner i can disconnect those tweaters the better.
the wires that come out the back of the head unit branch in two somewhere under the dash. So no it doesnt extend on to the door speakers. I just disconnected the tweeters but left the wire in place.
