X2 key phob Questions

1)

My 172 key phob stopped working- ive replaced a new battery- red light flashes on it but doesnt lock the car?- any reason why


2)

The clio 172 PHase I have has a third key-

Can I nick it- order a new metal bit from renault ( the metal bit that goes in the lock) & then recode it to the flamer

on the first one you will probably need to do a basic reprom to the car, there is a guide somewhere on here.

The second key needs reprogramming by renault.

The first one just sounds like it's out of sync. Second one as said needs doing by Renault.
