xbox not recognising 1tb toshiba hd

It's probably in ntfs format. So it won't work with the xbox, it'll need to be Fat32, don't know how to sort it though.

I done mine the other day as it was in ntfs and the xbox couldnt see it, used partition magic 8.0 and it now works a treat!

Fat32 has 4GB file size limit.

If (like I used to) you want it for HD-WMV, use Mac Drive and format it to HFS+

  Better than yours. C*nt.
FAT32 has a 4GB file size limitation

Yes, I can read thanks. But file size limitation and partition size limitation are different things.

Hence my original statement, I thought FAT32 did 1TB drives? I've just checked, depending on what cluster size you use, up to 8TB is possible.

I was clarifying that it was file size and not partition limitiation.

I use a 1TB, as FAT32 in my Dev Kit... However, windows built in formatter wont format anything over 32 or 64gb as FAT32 (I forget and can't be arsed googling) -

I use(d) http://xrl.us/bgrgqv to format my 1TB as FAT32, but again, if you want large file support, you'll need HFS+
