Xenon HID Question

Hi guys,

Recently got a 182 Cup in RB and want to upgrade to a Xenon HID kit, how easy are these to fit?

Ideally I am looking for it to be the same as the ones in a FF 182, if anyone could shed some light on any of this I would be hugely thankful! Also, if anyone can link me to where I can buy a kit from please link me!

Easy, but time consuming as it's a bumper off job. Get the genuine light unit's of a 172/182, have a look in the market place.

Don't use an ebay HID kit in your normal headlights as you will blind people

I wasn't thinking of using an eBay jobby, like you said I wouldn't want to blind anyone! I want the same sort of brightness as the 172/182 Xenons!

Could I buy a 172/182 genuine light unit and simply swap them over? Or is it more complicated... Thanks mate!

I did the same in my cup. Plug and play, absolutely no modifications needed to the wiring etc!

Also try and pick a set up in person, they go broken so easily in transit (happened to me)

As above. Buy some lights off someone who is breaking a 172/182 with Xenons, you should get everything you need to carry out a proper OEM conversion this way.

Anything between £150-200 depending on condition. The link I sent you they are up for £180 with the black inserts from the 172. I would contact the OP of the thread i linked and ask about collection. Don't give them any money over PayPal gift. They have only posted 27 times on the forum so could be a scammer, but might not be... apply some common sense when dealing with non paid low post count members who are selling stuff.
