Howdy i need a couple of tyres on my 172 and am thinking about these, they have had wicked reviews in the past and are quite cheap from mytyres.co.uk anyone have any experience of them on a 172?

yes they are good, but last 5 minutes. They are a bit soft!!!!

Huge amounts of grip in the dry, not huge amounts in the wet, lol!

But for the price they are great value.

agreed, they are soft and wear out, but good while they last! maybe they were good in wet on my 106 cos the 106 had about 1.5bhp lol

Not that bad in the wet....

But for 40 quid fitted each, you really cant compare tyres which cost over 250-300 quid a set and are no better.

I* have had them on my clio and i did not get on with them at all i prefer the BF Goodridge profiler gs they are alot better tyre in my opinion use them on track too no troubles with them at all

THey dont wear as bad as people say.

Ive done about 2 track days and about 80 laps on 2 circuts on them...no probs.

if you slide the rear, the fronts wont wear that fast at all! lol

They aint great on wear though.

when I needed tyres for mine last year i was advised against the a539s cos of their apparently shocking wet performance. i went for the avs sports and have been very hapy with them

Gotta disagree with people here, i have these yokos and in the wet i found loads of grip round brands hatch, and in the dry they were obviously very good, yes they were screeching a bit after 15laps but still held their own.

Ive had mine on for ages and they are still good.
