Does it have door lock pins? If so get some plastic banding, like you get round pallets. Fold it in half and slide it through the door seal, hook it over the pin, pull tight and up.

Had to do it to a car at work the other day as a bloke had locked his 2month old baby in the car!

Unless you dropped em in through an open window I have no idea how you managed it.

The car doesn't autolock once the door has been opened. There is no boot lock so you couldn't open the boot with the front doors locked. There is a passenger lock but you'd have to have a spare...and then there wouldn't be a problem.

There are no door pins on the clio as its all automatic from the lock button on the dash/fob-key.

You can't lock the car without being outside the car, with the key.

So tell me, how did you do it?

lmao how did you do it? auto lock turns off after you unlock it and open a door? only locks its self when you unlock it and leave it for a while without touching the car

Edit: oops dann got there first lol

takes 30 seconds with no damage at all

Renault keys use a flat cut blade - most renault keys will open other Renault door lock barrels - try a few Renault blades in the barrel but be very steady

Not true,

It has happened to many people and I have seen it happen for myself to a Mk2 Ph2 V6.

If you unlock the car, open the door, put the keys in the car without starting it, then close the door, it will autolock. It doesn't do this on all cars but it does happen.

That only happens on mine if i havn't open the door after unlocking

If i unlock the car and go in the boot, the car autolocks, if i open one of the doors it doesnt autolock.

So the way to do it would be to zap it, open your boot. Sling in the keys and shut the boot again...and walk away.

My question answered (I'll be trying this out later....without chucking my keys in).

Not true regarding "car doesn't autolock once the door has been opened"

I think what I just explain it what happened when I saw it happen to a V6.

We were at a Photoshoot and the photograher was moving the car around for different shots, in the process he managed to lock the keys in the car.

It must be to do with the opening of the boot not triggering the interior lights etc..... im sure mine does.

Thats worrying for anyone without an alarm! :S

Its even easier than all the suggestions so far.

Press the lock button down with the drivers door open, hold the exterior handle up, and shut the door.

People do it to lock the car without setting the alarm ! only normally, they take the keys with them.

some very creative suggestion of how to lock them in !! None of them are what i actually did though !! So i'll leave you in suspense...

Have to go to work will fill you all in later :0) oh and give you an up date on whether or not I actually manage to get back in without the aid of a brick / hammer / high heel shoe !

  Carrera 4S. Clio 172. M5
Hmmm... why would you not set the alarm? Cant see me ever doing it.

I dont set my alarm because - it hyper sensitive especially between 2am and 5am and goes off literally once every 2 minutes

note to self - take the car to garage and get the alarm fixed !!

  Milltek'd 182
C-Cup there are a few posts about that, either swap the wires around to the sensors (decreases sensitivity) or they could be pointing out windows etc and picking up excess movement so just need to move them about. and can you see the keys from outside the car?
