Sorry to bring this old thread up but I have this same problem and not really sure what I should do. Mine wouldn't start saying flat battery but its not flat then took the negative/ground off the battery and when I put it back on it just keeps setting the alarm every time I try to open the car...

The thing is I'm on a budget as I've just bought new wheels and tyres and getting the car mapped, isit really worth the extra 100 notes? The car is only used weekends and occasional shows
