I'm looking at buying a 197 - it's making a strange noise pulling away - a rumbling sound from down under the footwell area.
The company I'm buying the car from say they have now fixed it. The exhaust manifold where it has 2 pipes had sagged and was rubbing against the anti roll bar. They...
Hi All,
I was wondering if I can get advice on buying a 197 / 200 car for track days only.
The car will be totally stripped inside and suspension changed for coilovers.
Therefore what is best out of 197/200? 197 cars seem to be a lot cheaper and if I'm ripping the car to bits would this be...
Ive never really took videos whilst on track before but I decided to take a couple yesterday with my iphone.
Was a good day, very cold but dry - the track was damp to start with but dryed out eventually.

Ive been thinking about doing a spreadsheet...
Looking at fitting a Zetec Coil Pack.
Got a Zetec Coil Pack and Connector to swap over. (Running Omex)
I was told on here the Renault leads should fit a Zetec Coil Pack - they dont seem to.
Looked at Zetec leads - the connector for going down to the spark plug is a lot shorter so not a...

Just a quick question about the cam belt / pulleys on a F4R engine.
Using the proper tools (horseshoe) you can lock the Cams into the right place.
If the pulleys are key-less then how do you know they are in the right place?
Assume they have some kind of marks on them which you line up?
Hi would anyone be kind enough to let me know what your Cranking settings are on your Omex.
Mine are all standard from Omex. If your value's have been customised I would be very interested to see them if you would let me.
These come under:
Cranking Menu >
Start Fuel Pulse Table
Start Fuel...
Hi all,
Can anyone help with Clio 172 Race Cup car?
Long standing problem - it had the Renaultsport loom and ecu on it and developed a starting fault. It just would not start up.

Been meaning to post pics of this car for ages, ive had it since late 2007 now
Phil House used to race the car in Clio BTCC Support races:
When I got the car in late 2007 from down South the car looked like this (was basically standard).
Took the car to Oulton Park in Nov 2007...
Can anyone help?
I have a clio cup race car. I needed new rear brakes so got R77 01 204 901 discs from Renault.
With the old hubs the bearing was flush with the hubs. Therefore when the hubs were put on the car the hubs sat on the little round spacer and span freely.
With the new discs...
Hi,
Can anybody give me info about 172/182 Cup Car brakes?
I need new back disks but looking at the Ktec website they arent the same as normal clio disks.
Someone mentioned the brakes are maybe off a laguna?
Any help appreciated. Cheers.
Hi Everyone,
Does anyone know if Renault still sell the side skirt clips for a Clio 172/182 Cup?
I took the skirts off a year or two ago and in my infinite wisdom threw away the clips and bonded the skirts on, god knows why.
Cheers.
Can someone help me with wiring for the 172 fuel pump.
The connection is 4 pin - positive, earth, sender and something else?
Can anyone look up / tell me order of the pins? Wire colour? And what the 4th wire is for?
Thanks in advance. :)

Hey,
Could someone (Fred? :)) please help me with a Omex installation on a 182. (Cable throttle).
What standard sensors can be used? Can the Omex use all of them? Map, Air, Water, Lambda, TPS, CPS? Can you just run the VVT locked?
Also ive noticed in some of your posts regarding Omex Fred...
Do you guys think this sounds like ecu failure? It seems to have the classis symptoms.
Car not starting - has been getting gradually harder to start.
Crank sensor replaced.
No fuel.
No spark.
No power at pump.
Ecu getting 12v.
Any ideas or comments appreciated.
Im well cheesed off, went to my dealership last week and ordered stickers below:
http://www.renaultsport.co.uk/roadcars/clioaccessories/cupstickers2.asp
It says cup stickers as featured on the clio cup race cars.
So I assumed it was full size stickers, up the side of the car, especially being...
Does anyone know if the front crossmember which the engine attaches to should sit slightly squint - or should it be straight?
Looking at my car the bar seems to sit slighty further forward at the gearbox side than the engine side?
It this right?
