Alright chaps, I've got myself a clio 172 cup and wouldn't mind attending 1 or 2 meets. It's been a few years and would be nice to meet up with some members.
Is there much going on?
Just a word chaps, the trophy went today so I won't be on here as much, but if one of you can give me a shout when there's a meet on I'll bring whatever I've got at the time along to it.
Also if you need any help or anything just give me a shout
Me and my mate took the trophy and cup out for a blast along the stokesley/helmsley road this evening, hope you like the pics I grabbed

Been looking into getting this bad boy, would make things much easier when drying freshly cleaned cars and whilst polishing so you dont get annoying water residue on your bad and flicking it all over the car.
Also think it would make life easier when trying to hoover the car down by the sides...
Here's a thread to keep track of the progress of my Trophy #64.
This is the day I got it
On the way to hartside in the snow 'like a boss'
I haven't really done much to it since I bought it apart from fit some cooksport springs, skoda splitter, a propper trophy rear decal and one for...
Had some spare time today so what better than to take the trophy out for a few pics
Sadly my picture taking skills aren't fantastic and I Don't do all of this photoshop business to make the pics look better, although I wouldn't mind finding out how to do it.
Sorry there's...
This is something I've always wondered how people seem to manage without problems, however I just find it a general PITA.
So things I'm talking about is:
around badges without removing them
Tailgate on clio between wiper and boot handle surround
Clio Rear bumper where insert is
Clio Front...
This is something I've wanted to do for ages, it's a long way away from us but I've been assured its well worth the drive accross. I think it will be a case of setting off around 7.00 am and getting back to the NE around 6-7pm.
There'll be the usual food/fuel stops and I'm sure plenty of...
So this is the latest clio in my collection, it's immaculate, brand new speedline turini's from renault, no dents etc, Cooksport springs, wiper mod and a few other bits and bobs.
I wanted to take it up to my favourite driving road which is hartside, kind of a little run down and make sure...
My Dci keeps blowing headlights, it's not just the one headlight its both of them.
Anyone had any problems like this? Getting sick and just feel like ripping my 182 xenons out and sticking them in the dci
Did the dial plastic a while ago, thought some might want to have a little look at my 50/50 I got.
Use'd some fast cut plus and finished with some menzerna pf4500 (I think thats the one)
Whilst I had the cover off I gave the dial's themselves a quick wipe over and re-installed them...
Anyone seen this
http://www.cliosport.net/forum/showthread.php?676912-THE-BIG-CHESTER-MEET-17th-of-march-2013!!!
and fancy going to it? Looks like it'll be fun
Picked this up last week from Will down in York.
Sadly Will ventured into some deep water and the clio's engine didnt take too kindly to it, so it's not running at the moment.
The spec however is this...from memory
47k Miles 55 Plate
Gaz GHA Coilovers
K&N Panel Filter
RS192 Full System with...
Hope someone can help,
My car currently has cobra seats fitted with sidemounts and omp frames, I've had 2 different bucket seats in the past in clio's both using an omp frame and I find I just sit too close to the steering wheel.
Has anyone done/made anything so the seat can sit further...
Just a quick one for people that may have enquired before, is it possible to go to the dealers to find out whether your car came with cup packs?
Basically I've bought a 182, however its got different suspension, splitter is missing and different wheels, it does however have the cup spoiler on...
Was a good meet tonight lads and 'lass'.
Nice to see some new faces and all that, hope you all had some good banter and enjoyed yourselves.
Hope you all have a good christmas!!!
Not sure if there has been any particular thread that had all the trophies on the forum in it, would love to see what other owners have done to theirs.
I'll make a start.
My first one #007
As it started
Finished
Latest purchase #64
More soon...
A friend of mine has just bought a 172 cup, it appears to have had a new key at some point and wont let the car start.
It fits the barrell properly and turns all the way round as it should, however when you do this, the immobiliser light flashes very quickly and doesnt let the car crank over...
Saw this parked near where I work, looks pretty standard bar some silver visions. I'm just in the building next door with the BG 182 with trophy spoiler on it
To start with I was having problems with my cold start limiter sticking on. So I've replaced the temperature sensor.
Now my temp sensor goes to 1/4 way up when the car has been driven for ages. It rises up to 1/2 way when the car has been sat stationary for 10 mins however as soon as you move...
I'm currently using a meguires microfibre mitt to wash my car. I'm finding that I'm getting light swirl/stroke marks along the panels which is very frustrating after spending 20 hours giving the paint a refresh with the rotary.
Could this be down to the mitt itself or is my wash technique...
Took the 182 out for a drive at the weekend, up to hartside, accross to penrith and then down to hawes/richmond etc, got a couple of pics on the way

Ok, so my car is on a mission to kill me...I'll explain.
For the last few months my car has been getting very smelly, as in overfueling. I'm very concerned as the smell is coming into the cabin of the car, it has started to give me headaches etc.
The car has been running in cold start mode...
Well I'm pleased to say my mate Josh has bought Sam@Btm's old trophy under my recomendation. Its an absolutely fantastic car with a great spec, sadly I dont think Sam was too into the 'detailing' game and 'claud the trophy' was looking a little worse for wear.
However, I did promise Josh I'd...
Hope someone can clarify this for me.
When my cars engine speed increases, my temperature gauge drops, the car runs with the cold start limiter on for quite a long period of time and absolutely stinks of fuel.
Could it be that my car is thinking its running cooler than it actually is and the...
Last weekend I locked myself in the garage and got to work with the clio's paintwork, which was quite frankly shocking, I'll have some more detailed pictures in my project thread later this evening of the process.
Anyhow, as I was away for the week my brother used the car, before he did though...
Bit of a strange one this, 182 is absolutely stinking of fuel everytime I'm stationary or whenever I give it some stick, it smells inside the car and people following me around 500 yds away can smell it to, smells like its overfueling really badly and somehow finding its way into the cabin.
The...
Since buying my trophy spoiler I've been without the propper boot struts. After taking some measurements I did a search around the net and found that the Bonnet struts from a jaguar XF will fit.
Off to the local scrapyard saw me bag a pair for £10.
I do believe they make the boot sit...
I've been waiting 3 weeks for the spax track coilovers (full rear coilover set up) to arrive, so obviously had them fitted 3 hours after taking delivery of them.
First impressions of the kit are: well put together, clear instructions and easy to install. I'll report back on the handling in the...
