Hey all, Recent events have made me think that after owning my Phase 1 for a year, I havent asked if anyone knows the car?! Anyone owned it before or know anyone who has?! Just trying to see whats been done to it in the past, modwise... Y675 YJM Phase 1 172 in Silver. Chris

mate, id stick with the 15", cheaper tyres means you can drive it harder! Ive got Rainsport 2's on the front of my phase 1 and theyre amazing! give them a try!

195/50/15 mate, got a phase 1 as well, try Uniroyal Rainsport 2's, theyve been an amazing tyre for me and cheaper than the Michelin Exaltos that i was considering!

i found that fitting the uprated engine mounts and dogbone mount bushes has made my gear changes much smoother on my phase 1. not the cheapest things to buy and fit (especially the dog bone bushes) but feels much better changing gear and handling 'seems' better and tighter.

ill 2nd that, ive got rainsport 2's on the front of my phase 1, fantastic tyres and great price!

id say Uniroyal Rainsport 2;s mate, just got them on the front of my Phase 1 and theyre awesome!

Hi all, Just had new standard shocks and eibach sportline springs fitted all round but having a bit of a clunky/knocking noice from the back end on speed humps and sharper corners when giving it a bit of beans. Would anyone be able to give me some ideas as to what this could be? Chris

Hi, Ive ordered some Brembo Discs and am looking what pads to go with them. Ive had FerodoDS2500 pads before and although good, have always had issues with the amount of noise they make and the cost. Could someone suggest a pad for medium/heavy road use other than the Ferodos? Ive been told...

ok mate thankyou. but would it not help having 205 tyres rather than 192 and would the lower profile not give any sharper steering at all? Only going on what ive heard from people who claim (and probably arent) in the know! Chris

Hi all, Ive got 17" wheels on my phase 1 172 with 205/40/17 tyres and am looking at possibly lowering the car with some progressive springs to maybe improve the handling, has anyone already done this and what would they recommend as not lowering the car too much as its used everyday on less...

great stuff, i know it will be pricier getting KTEC to do it but im useless at DIY and as i use mine for work every day, its got to be done reliably and properly. I reckon i could get a bit more done for my £1000 notes then. Any suggestions?
