Sounds like you're refering to the 'rain water drain tubes'. These tubes run from the roof and down the A pillars and through the wheel arches (if a sunroof is fitted) or from the scuttle panel and down through the wheel arches - if not. They have black end caps fitted (with a 'flappy' piece) to...- tigermoth999

Changing the gear knob
Just changed the gear knob on my 182 Cup. Hacksawed the old G-K to bits, then pulled off the remains. Took me about 20 mins to do (plus about another 20 mins to hoover up the bits!!) It is NOT bonded or glued but is just a very tight fit onto gear lever (that is 'knurled' at the end to stop...- tigermoth999
