Hey Ash, from what I can remember from previous ownership the whining is normal as long as it goes away as the engine starts to warm up. Been doing some Googling and lot of people reporting the same and saying it could be anything from the fuel system sorting itself out to a belt tension issue...

My 182 FF in Artic Blue. Just had a detailing session today and tried out that new Armoural Shield and I am very impressed with it at the minute. Usually a Megs man. :)

I am 99% sure it's coming from the engine Bay Area and I have tried that listening thing but as it's not mega loud it's hard to pin point but sounds louder over the inlet mani area

Is this any better for the rattle issue I am having guys? Quite noticeable from the middle to end just before the revs settle. Any help would be great. Cheers

I am actually doing the oil and filter next week as it's been 6k since and I thought engine mount at first but it's strange how it only happens just before the revs hit idle and the noise changes as the engine gets warmer and cools :/. I understand how ark ward it is doing this over forums but...

Can't recall hearing that first noise before but glad it's ok :) and the second noise is a lot more noticeable with a stone cold engine so will have to try and get another video if needed. Hi all, I have got 2 strange noises coming from the engine of my 182. In the first video as you can hear soon as you click to ignition a electric whine sound is constantly heard coming from around the inlet manifold area I think...when the ignition is turned off it stops and 2 clicks are heard...
