Problem solved, it seems my rs tuner cable is hit and miss.
Odd because all the lights lit up on it and usually if it's a disconnect the program will tell you
Pulled the fuses they were OK, tested pin16 again and I've 12v off , 12v ign on and I've 14v with engine running.
So now I have power and still the RS tuner will not connect.
disconnected battery for 15min... still not working.
Ive no 12v at pin 16 either when ign off or on.
So I have a power issue, does the OBD have a relay or a fuse ?
Hi My OBD port is not working. Im using RS tuner and have isolated it to the car side unfortunatly.
Ive tried ign on, with the car running any combination and im getting no luck so I presume the power is gone to it. Is there a fuse or relay or something?

Took the starter out there, seems the locating dowel is in the wrong place/hole. Would this cause the problem?
Starter moves free in my hand , moves out and back in freely. Bit of blackening on the earth wires insulation but the earth is good.
Yes engine is good drove it onto the drive before I took it out. Not seized either, I put it in gear and rocked the car forward.

I may be able so get my hands on a donor 182 if the price is right, engine swap sounds like the only way, I work shift so don't have the time to be messing around. I don't have a garage either so this is all driveway job. Not ideal but I've done it before on other cars in the open.
Just because you ask a question does t mean you don't have the expertise/knowledge. I don't have access to all the Renault manuals so I'm not sure how to remove the head without doing damage hence I'm asking the question.

Ok still nil fix on this. Changed lower wishbone, top mounts (modded spacers) , shocks, arb bushes (c**t), rack bushes.
Tried spacers under the top hats. Basically tried everything bar the rack.....

Just a update, rack bushes are shot, you can actually see the wheel pull back when it's moved, looked down the back of the engine and rack is moving about 5mm

Hi, I have a 2005 182 full fat, when I hit a speed bump, accelerate , decelerate , turn the wheel I get a kind of cracking noise.
I've done engine mounts and new top mounts.
All I'm left with is arb and steering rack bushes. I'm thinking the rack bushes could be on the way out?
The pulley tool is the one you have to be careful of you need the longer gear in the set. Genuine renault tool doesn't come with it.
