I haven't gone to 240bhp yet, the stage two cars regularly make 245ish at Rtech and its going to them soon.
205-220 is just standard car remap territory.
With a 3" down pipe and exhaust system, uprated Turbo intake pipe, 007p recirc, big front mount mount and a few other bits people have had...
want to buy a panel filter for the golf, its a 240bhp 1.8T. I have the following options -
Ramair panel - £25
K&N panel - £38
Pipercross panel - £33
Green panel - £48
HKS panel - £38
BMC panel - £40
Is the Green one worth £23 more than the Ramair one?
What are peoples thoughts on...
Been to edition 38 before, i couldn't go this year as I'm working away sadly.
Like any show, it depends who you go with i guess, but I've always had fun, but its a bit of a small show, not much goes on and there are to many trailer queens for me.
Buy a vag car, commence full leather retrim...
in my opinion, though hot air is less dense blah blah, it will make sod all noticeable difference.
The noise is great fun, on your first car go for it! Im guessing by tube you mean it has a little pipe you can route from the front of the car to the air filter to 'ram air' sounds ace, route it...
cheap phase 1s do come along, i got mine on 70k a year ago for a grand and it was very nice tbh, was a decent one. But at the same time, some get advertised at £2000+ give it another year and i think early ph2 172s will have fallen in value enough a clear definition will be made.
I couldn't find the thread on the search function. please link it, though i will have another crack at finding it.
The silver 182 tips are a bit large imo, they look to big. Black car looks lovely though.
My Miltek tips are looking pretty tired so I'm going to a power flow place i know to have some new tips put on.
I can have any tip i want pretty much.
currently thinking 3" outwardly rolled but would like to see what other have got.
Please share.
Thanks.
wow that surprises me, mine are nearly bald on the back so i will consider some others. I bought the car with them on, and though i do a decent amount of miles i was considering buying some more because i have been very impressed by them.
What sort of milage do Ad08s do?
Currently got 4 Prads spec 2s on my 182, they are brilliant, but the rear two are nearing the end of their life.
Where would people recommend i buy them from?
Or is there any other tire that would be better? Ideally would like something with similar performance, but a bit longer lasting.
195 50 15 is a cheap tire size thankfully. Ive got 2118s on mine with that size.
I have Yoko Prade spec 2s. roughly going to be paying about £40 a tire, but bloody hell they are good on the road!
my mum has a clio, its done 20K and would i f**k buy it, the things been crashed on every corner, thrashed cold, its been sick in, had dogs in it and so on, its a state and has just been used as 'transport' as she wanted a run about to park in the hospital car park, door dent central.
My VRS...
I just put a set on my fabia VRS. They are great!
Had a set of RS2s on my old saxo a while back, did a wet track day at cadwell on them and they were excellent then too!
Thats terrible, i really considered buying a 197, but as i commute 60 miles a day decided to go for a really clean low milage fabia VRS, remapped to 180 it averaged 55mpg on my drive. Ive always pondered if i should have gone for a 197, but seeing this thread has reassured me i made the right...
The saxo VTS are quick though, most people who don't just stereotype them as a chavs car know that so its not to fair to criticise the clio for being on pace with one, it weighs twice as much nearly. You can hear its got a standard rev limit as cammed they map them to rev much higher. It just...
